The dude at my off-road shop said that doing ditch lights like this may cause issues. He mentioned running them through a fuse rather than straight to the battery. Does anyone know if this is true? Seems like a simple set up just a closed circuit to the battery...

i *believe* it is best for protecting the battery and the ditch lights to have a fuse, and possibly even wire it all through a relay. It's just good practice i believe, but the resident electrical gurus here like [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] and [MENTION=83083]rigtec[/MENTION] can probably describe it better than i can.

Yea it sounds like a relay is a good idea. The harness that came with the Rigid duallys I got has a fuse and the install instructions have no mention of using a relay. Not sure why.
What shop do you go to? Also in Austin and I'll be needing a place pretty soon.

Today some Toyota marketing folks came in to the office. They were from the "truck and SUV" marketing department. I made sure to park where they would see my truck. When I was introduced to them I told them I was a huge fan and drove a 4Runner. They asked if the 4runner out front was mine and when I confirmed they all told me that I did a "great job" with it. I fanboyed out a little.

The hitchgate itself is about 60 lbs. Then you account for the spare being a little farther back and Im thinking it's roughly 100 lbs more than usual. My Sway-a-way 1.5" springs arrive Monday and get installed Wednesday to balance it out.
Curious as well too. I know they sell a relocation kit though.

See above for a pic of the camera view. The relocation kit they sell doesn't work for toyotas unfortunately. I'm exploring other options.

1.5" Sway-a-way rear coils installed. Front bilsteins set to 1.75". I left a 10mm OME trim packer on the drivers side to fix the lean. The springs will settle down a bit hopefully but I am pretty pleased with the stance and it rides great. If the rear doesn't settle much I may think about going to 2.5" on the front bilsteins. I like the rake, what do you guys think?
