Hazard switch part #?

Hi!
does anyone know a part # for the hazard switch for an '11 T4R?
Still getting my truck restored to the old glory since the break in.. and dealership keeps sending me the wrong switch..

got the part - doesn't fit.
we actually have ordered 4 different ones so far.
one via vin #, one via logical 4Runner selection, one via the the part # above etc.
all are the same buttons, but they do not fit. toyota is perplexed.

so.. I got a note from the shop - the toyota corp has no idea what is wrong... lol

they are sending an email to the manufacturing plant for more information.

Not to say it will work, but maybe a photo or two will help stimulate the brain power of the collective......be safe.

that's exactly what we did. the shop took images of both - connector and the plug, and gave it to corp. corp was like "umm... well... yeaaahhh".

The one pin is slightly bent.. that's about it for my thoughts... ohh and... I would really like a cookie about now.. but that's not very helpful to your case :welcome: :thanks: :thumb3:

the connectors are not of a compatible shape.

I expected more input from the collective.....but here is a thought. When you received the connectors/switch from the dealer, did they also come with the matching plugs? Could you just get a 5 point connector/plug set, then rewire the plug? There was a post not long ago about how to take the wires out of a "plug" and reinstall the wires....this might be a fast solution.....just saying. Be safe.

Something doesn't make sense .Does it actually have the 84332-35090 part number on the switch? Did they try to order a second one to see if that switch was possibly in the wrong box or just a one off bad switch.

There have been a few totaled 5th Gens on here and I'm sure many more are in junk yards as this forum is a small cross section of what is sold.
Most junk yards communicate online nationally for parts now so you can possibly find where a 5th has been totaled for the switch.

That is actually a safety item and you would think mother Toyota would be more responsive to getting a switch part number right.

Jtraskell, I am contemplating doing just that. Like harper mentions - this IS a safety feature, and I want to get it back on track soon (even though, I usually use it to thank people who'd let me in to the lane or what not)

Antman. you and me both. My mind is blown about this situation.

Harper, we ordered the PART #, we ordered the part based on my VIN, we ordered part as per catalogue etc.
We ordered total of 4 different switches thus far. all of them come in with the same plug.

I know this is unlikely but, any chance at all that there might have been a mix up with the plugs behind the dash and you're actually trying to plug in the wrong one?

I noticed you said you are trying to repair break-in damages, so I was not sure to what extend you had to try and piece everything back to get her.

Oh and if you are going to try to de-pin and re-pin, a small paper clip with the tip cut to a point using some wire clippers comes in real handy for de-pinning it.
