I have a 1995 4runner v6 standard. Both headlights stopped functioning - no high or low beams. I have had it at two shops, both of which threw their hands up in defeat, saying there are 10 nodes behind the glove compartment, and one must be causing it. It's had a new switch, new relay, and wires traced to no avail. Both shops suggested an official dealership, but when I called they said they have no way of knowing aside from trying every node too.
Really hoping someone else has had this problem before and has some advice, as it sounds like it'll be really expensive and time consuming for any shop to fix.
If I run a wire in the engine compartment fuse panel from the neighbouring fuse terminals to the headlight terminal, the headlights work. not sure if that helps diagnose it.
