Headlight Retro Vertical Alignment

Ok people who have done retros with the Morimoto D2S 4.0s, I'm looking for a solution to the inherently low cutoff that these projectors seem to have. I maxed out the vertical adjustment on these suckers and I've got a disappointingly low cutoff with the slight rake my truck has, but currently everything 15 feet in front of me is lit up great. I've got a Shrockworks bumper/tire carrier on the way soon, to hopefully bring the back end down a bit(OME 890s I think, been a while). I'll also eventually be replacing the Tundra 5100(2nd perch)/881 with some more adjustable coilovers to bring the front up a bit, especially since I added the front plate bumper.

My question is this: What have other people that have run into this done? Wedged something under the projector to bring it up slightly? Sanded the surface the lock nut/alignment plate tightens against at a slight angle? I'll likely be pulling the housings apart again to swap shrouds anyway, so what else can I do to angle these things back up?

drill a small hole from the underside, JB weld a nut-sert in place , use a long threaded bolt with a pair of extra nuts for locking. adjust from below and raise the projectors.

just a suggestion but place a thin strip of wire inside the recessed groove between the housing and the lens before gluing , makes removal easy the next time you need to open the housings without heating, just pull the wire out and it will cut the glue all around.

That’s not a bad idea at all, I hadn’t thought of anything along those lines.

even with some rake, you should have plenty of adjustment. i put in the knockoff version of those. when you tighten the rear nut to fasten projector, mash the big silicone washer by pushing hard on the projector tighten the nut down firm, or the project may (and probably) will sag.

i've got plenty left on adjuster, but i really like the above ^^ idea to thread in and lock a gusset support underneath.
