headlights...glass vs plastic

what is the difference between the two, last week I ordered a new driver headlight assembly and paid no attention to description, after messing with my runner today I realized that the housings I currently have are glass and I ordered a plastic one. and where is the best place to order a new glass one?

They sell glass ones on eBay and elsewhere. Glass is superior to plastic.

One compliment the 3rd gens get is that since the headlights were still offered in glass back then we don't get issues with headlight oxidation. The newer 99+ clear glass is very nice and easy to do retrofits on haha.

But yea mainly due to longevity and resistance against elements. Being very easy to clean and keep clear.

glass is definitely better, but if you are stuck with plastic, a sweet upgrade or prevention for deterioration is a 3m like clear coat film. You can get various colors, but the yellow is sick and really helps with night vision. Its a few mm's thick and when it wears out, peels right off. I have even used it on my windshield when I raced X-country for stopping debris from cracking my screen, sick stuff...Its not the armorall thin stuff...
