Headlights sometimes don't turn off

For starters, I've got a 2012 LE.

We've only had it since July and we've only had a couple of times where the headlights didn't go off, but it is somewhat concerning.

If the headlights are on, most of the time when we lock the truck with the remote it will shut them off after 2 clicks. However, sometimes if I open the tailgate and close it before the truck gets locked, the lights will not go off when we lock with the remote. Have to get into the vehicle and turn them off manually. It's pretty inconsistent, so I can't always reproduce it.

Could this be a sticking switch on the tailgate perhaps? Is this a stupid topic that needs deleted?

I also have a '12 LE. My lights, whether set in the on position, or the auto position, will stay on for 2 minutes, then shut off automatically (this can be adjusted by dealer). I didn't know you could shut them off with two clicks, but will try it next time they're on and I'm locking it up. Next time you get a chance, leave them on and return after two minutes to see if they're automatically shutting off. If not, see dealer and they can adjust and/or confirm if something else is happening.

RE: The correlation with the tail gate, no idea what's going on there.
