Point taken, although I think there are many variables including the fact I, like other people on the forum have 6000K HID's for my/their lows, WITHOUT projectors.

In addition the 2005 fixtures seem directional to some extreme and I have yet to be flashed in a way that would insinuate I am "blinding someone".

I did however in my 1997 T4R, get flashed 2 times in the 2 years I had the HID's installed, that I guess could be considered a disaster. Those fixtures were not at all directional the light just went where ever it chose, although those fixtures were adjustable, so I pointed them as downward as I could which was the perfect adjustment.


My concern is the relay, do you have a recommendation besides the retrofitsource.com relay. Not to sure how to search for that on Ebay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

go for a retrofit! find some TL's or FX35 and see the difference compare to the OEM lights

I put some LED's (cool white 5500K) in my corners but they look way bluer than my Phillips 4300K

Output is intense and this is with 35 watt ballast, 55 watt is on the way

My front looks very clear except lenses

LEDs would better match Phillips Ultinons 6000K but I'm not trading these 85122+ for anything also, they are the best when it comes to performance

Why in some of ur shots do ur projectors look red, or is it just the pic?
Why did u have to retrofit? Couldn't u have just swapped out the lens?

The lense looks red from certain angles due to shield inside of projector painted red. I was trying to achieve that effect and it turned out better than I expected. You can paint it any color, it makes your lights look different

My OEM 04 headlights do not come with projectors, its reflector housing, useles when it comes to light performance, thus retrofit - TSX with clear lenses.

same cost as 06+ headlights mod, performance wise - nothing will come close.
Takes about 10 hours of your time, can do it over a weekend

damn dude, I wish I could get my hands on set of S2K. They are the best performer out there right out the box. So hard to find though

I took the leap and bought 2 sets too...great price at 120.00 shipped.

Decided to go with 6000k for both low and fog, we'll see what it looks like on my 2005 SE.

How did your 6000K fogs turn out? Do you have pics in a later thread? I am interested in doing this.
