Heads up on Genuine Toyota accessories (mats etc)

Just got my special order shipment. Front /Rear All Weather Mats, Mud Flaps and Rear Cargo tray.
Don't bother with the AWM's, IMO an "F-" They are small, flimsey, Obviously designed to get nowhere near the peddles or under the peddles. They have Legal disclaimers printed ALL over them - Going back in the Bag especially for that price and I got them supposedly at invoice.
The Rear Cargo Tray is "ok" I am on the fence. IF it had non-skid "nibs" on the under side I would say "B+" but it doesn't. Kind of thin but it says "4Runner" no Lawyer Text so a definate Maybe on that.
Probably will keep the MudGuards (How can you screw up a mudguard) they are the conforming style so "A-" on those.
I know this is not exciting Modding but I know many ask and the WeatherTech-Husky is a common choice so I just wanted to add my $.02 about the OEM stuff.

Is the cargo tray mat the one that looks like it wraps over the edges of the slide out tray? I saw a photo of a tray matt on here a while back, and am trying to find it again (without much luck). I thought it was the OEM mat for the slide out. You have any photos?

Mine is identical just for non-slide out. It is a nice piece.

I went to A&A today and have sets of WeatherTech DigiFits, All-Weather Mats (tried for the Husky heavy duty mats but they aren't made for our rigs) to compare to the OEM AWM's.
I read through some old threads and saw some pics of Toyota mats that were way different than what is sitting in my garage (don't remember the lawsuit dates but these pics were 2011) am I missing something?
The OEM AWM's seem small and flimsy and cheap to me I am open to the idea that I am being over critical because I remember how good the old Toyota mats were, maybe I am not being fair.

Basically, What the he!! is the best option these days for friggin' mats. This isn't rocket science, maybe the Forum needs to manufacture its own mats....I'd pay anything for the BEST choice.

You'll not be disappointed with the WeatherTech digifits :nono:. I was skeptical when I ordered mine, didn't really think they would be worth the high price, but they came highly recommended by most here so I went ahead and ordered them. Well the came, I put them in and holy f*** these things are great!! Quality is very good fit is perfect and they look great...overall B++

I have the mat for the sliding tray your are talking about. I'll throw up some pics. It's ok, kinda wraps over the edges but hard to keep in place. Gimme a little bit and I'll throw up a pic.

I have the digital fit weathertechs and they are great. pics of those in my gallery if interested.

I don't know why the lack of "nibs" but I am going to experiment with hook fastener or maybe spray something on the under side to keep the second row and cargo tray from floating like it has frequent flyer miles.

Ok, Back from A&A - that was easy. Compared ALL three(3) Toyota OEM All-Weather Mats - Weather-Tech All Weather Mats and Weather-Tech Digifits.
No Contest. The Digifits by a mile.

A little late now, but you really should look at Husky also. Both the all weather liners as well as the cargo tray (for the slider). If you read some of the threads, even the more recent ones, there are differences and some folks had some issues with the weathertechs vs. the Husky's. But like I said, probably too late.....sorry. Be safe.

Really don't have any complaints on this thing other than the price and it doesn't always stay in place.

I have not gotten around to it yet but, am going to try some "Hook" fastener tape on the underside of the tray mat. Also thought maybe some of the non-slip tape that goes on the leading edge of steps might work.
Also, thought maybe spraying some bedliner underneath.
Dunno.
