Buttoning up my rack delete today. Also figuring how I will mount my plate on the new rear bumper. I was originally going to go with a tire mounted system, but since my Maxtrax will be mounted there I may go this route:

Here’s how I sealed my rack delete. I used RV butyl putty under the brackets and blue loctite on the mounting hardware. I then tightened the brackets down until the putty compressed out. I hope it stays water tight!

Small update: I returned the Curt hitch mounted license plate holder and purchased a RockHard4x4 unit that is meant for a Jeep. Just so happens that their kit is drilled for 6 on 5.5 as well! I ended up not liking the look of the hitch mount.

I don't think you're crazy. Now that Toyota dealerships put PRO grills on just about every new 4Runner (at least here in the southeast), it's almost refreshing to see a modded 4R with the normal grill. I'm still on the fence about making the switch to TRDPRO grill.

I still like the pre refresh "satoshi" grills the best but for 14+ the Pro grill is a good option

Got the internal brackets installed and hitch plug relocated. I just need to figure if I have enough wiring to do my license plate light. Overall install is simple, the provided directions and pictures are completely useless.

Bumper is on and looking great after some adjusting! I cut and repurposed the rear mud flaps to solve a common rubbing issue on the rear flare.
