If you have ever taken automotive seats apart there is nothing special about the process. Just do not be afraid to push/fold/bend the foam out of your way when cutting or installing the hog rings. If you haven't worked with upholstery before, then you will take longer but it is not complicated. If you are unsure then take plenty of photos for yourself as you disassemble so that you have something to reference during the re-installation. I found the 2010 manual helpful as it shows how the seats and their plastic trim go together.
Get yourself a strong pair of nippers to cut the existing hog rings. It will be pretty obvious where to put the rings when everything goes back together. (or refer to your pictures). There are metal rods molded into the foam seat parts and there are metal or plastic rods that are either sewn into the seat cover or slip into an obvious pocket sewn into the seat cover. With only a few exceptions, the hog rings will be holding two rods together.
As I mentioned, the repair manual shows where the rings/rods are located for each seating surface. For the seat bottoms I removed the rings along each side and the ones in the center. (I left the row at the back which acted like a hinge when I folded the cover back to expose the foam.) When I took the seat back covers off the zippers at the back made it easy. I did not remove any rings from the rod attachments on the side with the airbag.

Adding the heating pads is as simple as laying them on the foam (their texture makes them tend to stay put) and then putting the seat cover back on making sure to keep the heating pad flat with no folds and smooth any wrinkles along the way. Once you have all of the rings replaced and no wrinkles then just put the assembly back onto the bottom frame and fold the plastic clips sewn into the edges back onto the frame.
There is already a hole at the back of your bottom seat cover to route the wire harness through. My passenger seat (manual) had a dummy plug where the seat heater connector goes. Just pop it off. The wire harness from the seat back connects to the harness from the bottom and that goes to the controller and then to the new wire harness. Everything and gets attached as you see fit to the many attachment points in the bottom of the seat. Since the passenger seat is manual I had several unused plugs to tuck away.
For the driver seat (power) I replaced the existing harness with the new one and again attached everything to the seat bottom using the provided attachment points. All of the electrical connections were absolutely plug and play. But remember, I only have a fully functioning passenger seat!!
I have been researching the missing part of the driver's seat circuit and have learned much. What is missing are the switch wires and 12V+ that go to the controller. The switch wires are present at the switch in the console. I have identified the circuit in the wiring diagram so now I believe that I just have to find the corresponding connectors in the truck and add the missing wires. I will certainly take photos if I am successful.
