Hella fog lights 1997 4Runner

So I'm new here and wanted to know if anyone knows where I can get the hella fog lamps that came stock with the 1997 4Runner since when I bought my runner it only came with one and I would like to get the other one.

These original Hella fog-lights are a pain in the ass; they're like freaking Toyota unicorns or something. They are impossible to find new or even NOS and if there is a simple alternative that would just bolt right up to the existing bracket and space — I haven't seen it yet.

Would love to replace my non-working ones with LEDs too.

Very true...when I bought my '98 it had the Hellas but the glass was broken on one of them and I couldn't find another anywhere. I ended up getting rid of them and selling the good lens (just the glass lens not the whole light) on Ebay for like $30.

The Blazer C8011 lights mount in the factory location for the 96-98. Ask how good they are in a month or so. Hopefully bolting them up tomorrow.

Performance Products used to carry them. I bought a replacement set about 10 years ago but you can’t get them anymore. Apparently Hella stopped making them.

I too have been searching for something rectangular to fill those gaps that were cut in the valence since the glass broke on my second set of Hellas. Preferably something street legal that I can use with the low beams like the original factory “aftermarket” setup. Lots of rectangular LEDs out there now but I’m not sure any have light throw patterns that won’t blind oncoming traffic. Most say off road use only.

Ideas anyone? Us 96-98 model folks don’t seem to have many (any) options to replace our factory fogs without doing more cutting of the valence and fabrication of new mounting brackets. That may be what we eventually have to do.

Ah, I didn’t pick up on that the first time. Thanks for the lead! I’m ordering these right away. I never expanded my searches to farm tractor lights before, but these could fit the bill. I’ll post back in a couple weeks whether I have plug-and-play success with the Blazer C8011s.

I soldered the connectors on and tested them. I'll mount them today. Before work.

My 97 did not come with fogs. Is the wiring still there for fogs or do I just rewire the Blazer C8011 with a wiring harness/relay and separate switch? Thanks.

Hear they are mounted. I'm going to have to remove them at some point and tweak the mount to aim them better if I don't like the light pattern.

For those of us who had the "factory" fog light option, it was actually an aftermarket Hella kit that was installed at the port of entry before the vehicles made their way to the dealerships. As you can see from 19963.4lsr5's picture, they cut out a portion of the lower bumper valence to make room for the fogs. They also included a metal angle bracket that the lights were actually mounted to, which was bolted to some existing holes on the back side of the metal bumper. If you don't have the factory option you'll need to run new wiring, do some kind of modification to the valence (if you want your fogs down there), and fabricate or drill actual mounting locations for your lights.
