Hella lights in schrockworks bumper

So I jinxed myself!

Just the other day i was thinking about all the complaining that was done on the hella lights, water intrusion etc, but mine have been fine for approx 2 years.

Got in truck today and have fast blinker. Turns out the Driver side hella is burnt out. No big deal except all the plastic tabs were 97% broken. The remaining 3% didn't survive even the inspection process.

Are there any good plug and play LED options w/o complicated resistors or whatever to keep the signals flashing normal?

Basically, no. You'll have to use a resistor as the flasher relay is not easily replaceable. If you use your turn signals as DRLs, the resistors will burn out quickly.

Ok I'm replying to this because I now need replacement Hella lights or something comparable (turn signals). I removed the old lights from my (used) bumper because the tabs holding the lights were mostly broken. I had to dremel off the existing screws because they were rusted on.

Anyway....

Go LED and get some resistors. It's not that complicated of an install. I bought some 2" or 2.5", can't remember exactly which size, Led turn signals from Kragen. They're meant for trailers and they fit in there perfectly with a rubber grommet they came with. They haven't moved a mm in years. I also wired up some resisters to prevent hyper blink. The link is below. They work and function way better and they are waterproof.

I definetly use the DRL a lot.

Does the ohm / wattage of the resistor matter / would one selection last longer?

I'm 90% sure those may be the lights I ordered. Should be here in a few days. Did you resolve the fast blinking? Or is that just how it is?

Follow up: resistors were installed and everything has been working as it should, but I dont run DRL only very much anymore.
