This is my first Asian Car, bought after an extensive reserch.

I'll post my impressions after at least 2000Km.

This is my 5th car

After one Fiat, one Lancia and one BMW, I moved to Canada for work (I'm Italian) and I bought a Grand Cherokee Ltd V8 in 2001.

After transmission problems and rotors warped, I decided to sell the Jeep and buy a 4Runner.

The first impression is positive, anyway the Jbl sucks a lot and many other little things like no seat memory and a little vibration on the steering wheel (I feel the vibration of the engine when accelerate).

The engine is very smooth and progressive, is cheaper in gas compared with the Jeep and the transmission almost perfect.

Thanks to everybody for this community, nice people and lots of information and I hope to help you with my picky personality :)

Very nice truck! Good luck with it. You made a smart decision selling the Jeep. My dad had a 1994 Limited with a leak and a 1996 Limited with transmission problems and electrical problems. He ended up selling the 1994 after 1.5 years and the 1996 after 6 months. I see Jeeps have not improved at all. Those minor problems you are experiencing are normal. The only one I agree that it should have seat memory for that price. I think it will be a bit more reliable that your Jeep. :D

congrats

congrats on the new 4runner. Stratosphere Mica was my first choice in color but they didnt have it with the options I wanted so I got black. Don't worry the 4runner will at least twice as long as your jeep.

Good choice

I just love this SUV. I've been driving ever since i got it. It's sooooooo nice!

Thanks to everybody, I'll post new pictures soon.
For now, 650 Km, around 5Km/l only city and non aggressive driving, my Jeep was around 4.5 Km/l city and around 9 Km/l highway.

The JBL 10 spk sucks a lot, crappy sub woofer in a plastic environment! and the cd player refuse to play some burned CDs that I use to play without problems in the Jeep (Infinity gold)

This car is another planet, smooth engine, very precise gears and great stability for a truck but I can't talk since I'll drive more.

I forgot to say that I have a big complain for Toyota canada ready to sent out.

The car is full of scratch (linear scratch) and when I got the car was night and still I noticed 4 scratchs and the dealer said they'll fix.
One is really deep but today took a complete look of the paint and probably someone at Toyota used some sponge with some stone inside!
I noticed that night only the 4 scratch in the back of the car since was the only part I saw (light from the back of the car).

61000 Cad$ and I have a scratched car.

My Jeep was more clean that this one after 3 years!

I hope they'll fix but still is like is still for me is like a bought an used car.

have a great day.

Scratches

I checked my vehicle out after you mentioned about the scratches. Yeah, I notice that there are a lot of small scratches on mine too. hm.... just wondering if I got them myself or I got them from dealership. I definitely should check with my dealership next time when I go for service.

It's nice to bring that up, man.

Later.
