Hello! New here...

Hey Guys.

My name is Bret and I've wanted to own a 4Runner since I was in high school (about 12 years). On Monday I finally got one! It's an 04 SR5 with a V8, 75k miles. So far I love it...I've never owned such a nice vehicle. I come from a '93 Jeep Wrangler that I bought when I was 16 years old, and it has been my daily driver since from that time until I bought my 4R.

For many years I've been a member of JeepForum.com and have found it invaluable. I hope I can come to rely on/provide that same support here on this forum.

1st question: Where might I find the 4th Gen specific T4R forum?

Welcome and I'm crackin' myself up. The way I skimmed your first sentence I took it as you spent 12 years in high school:rocker:

This is the 4th gen area. When the 5th comes out we'll get bumped to our own area.

HA! I didn't even notice that! I guess I should have said "about 12 years ago". Oh well. I did, however, spend almost that long in college. For all the years I spent in college I should be a freakin' doctor.

First off, welcome to the forum, im fairly new myself. Also, I can relate to the college comment. I'm a lifer student myself! But hey, my employer has paid for every bit of it, so why not! Anyhow, so far I have found this forum extremely helpful for numerous reasons. Also, post some pics of your ride when you get a chance. We all love to see what others have done to their rides. (Not that I've done much with mine, but soon enough, soon enough!) I did install an aftermarket cd player and was able to find step by step directions on how to remove the old head unit. Also had to replace a dash light and found helpful pics on here for that also. So hopefully you'll find it just as useful as I did......
