Hi, everyone. I am a new 4Runner owner. It is an 2004 V6 4.0 with 120,000 miles. Bought it last month, everything was ok at first, but this morning there was a loud exhaust sounding noise. I hit the gas and it gets louder! I can't determine where the noise is actually coming from! Can anyone shed some light? Thank you in advance.

Welcome! Look under your truck and see if your catalytic converter is still there...

That was a joke in a way, somebody might have stolen it is why he said that.
While the truck is cooled down, start at the tail pipe and see if there are no holes, loose connection parts.
Your looking to see if everything is mounted and connected solid. Work your way along the pipe and accessories for stock install.
If all is solid and tight, no holes. Around the manifolds on the motor, listen for leaks on the gasket area, might need someone the bring the RPM's up.
