HELP! Everything stopped working!

Hey there guys. Today I came out to my truck to leave work and had almost NOTHING working. No HVAC, no dash, no windows at any of the doors, no sunroof, no turn signals, nothing! The only thing currently working is my radio, dash backlighting, open door signal and seat belt signal. Not even the rear heater or field monitor unit is kicking on. Car turns over just fine, no power to anything
And as I currently write this, literally right this very second all the power came back out of nowhere and everything's working again. I checked my battery cables and they were fine, I didn't see any blown fuses but I highly doubt there's one fuses for 95% of the interior functions
Is there a common junction between all these circuits where I can check for a short, or maybe a common/easy spot for rodents to cause havoc? Having no dash isn't terrible, but having no windows or HVAC in 90 degrees is hell! It was all super weird and I've never had this happen before

Sounds like a bad ground. Look under the dash, there are surely a few there. Look for the grounds under the hood too, but since the truck runs fine, I'd start inside.

I am not near the truck right now, but if the fuse compartment inside the truck comprise of all the equipments you lost, you might be on the right track

I too would look for bad grounds. Check your electrical wiring and make sure no gremlins have gotten in there and chewed through things. I have to imagine it's one specific problem and not multiple little problems.

Had to loose ground or no power to your internal fuse box for a few seconds. Extremely odd and rare.

Have you looked at the wires in the rear hatch to body bundle? Could be an odd short there.

Sounds like most of the circuits focused around the ignition on as well. Maybe sticking relay or back of the key contacts wearing as a possibility as well..

Mine has done this once or twice. I replaced the OEM terminals with Marine Style. No issues since. When I pulled the old terminals off, it was only making about 30 percent contact with the post, despite being tight with no wiggles.

I had something very similar(though my ac still worked) and it turned out to be a window motor shorting out and once I unplugged it everything worked fine after I swapped the fuse. I also had a similar issue when out of nowhere my power seat grounded itself

Also, unfortunately all the power functions (all windows, locks, seats) operate off of one fuse so if that trips then you lose it all. Ask me how I know lol

Thanks for the replies everyone, I'll get to looking around the interior fuse box for any grounds or bad connections. Some of my rear wires ARE cracked (I know my rear defrost is fully split, as it doesn't work anymore) so perhaps it's time I finally fix those as well
I've replaced my terminals in the past with some generic lead ones but have always wanted some nice zinc plated ones. Perhaps I'll use this as an excuse :decision:

Not really, been smooth sailing over the past week. Tried poking around under my dash but couldn't easily see any grounds or positive wires that may be loose, but all I did was poke my head under and look around. Was way too hot over the weekend to tear out the dash and hang around inside the cab all afternoon :nono:
Poked around here and there just checking my harnesses for any traces of rodents but thankfully haven't found anything out of the ordinary, which was my main concern
Right now I'm waiting on some 20GA wiring to come in the mail so I can fix the rear hatch wiring but that's about it :thumb:

You should have Said something. I would have cut 6 inches off my junk hatch harness. So the wiring all matched colors....
