I was backing my Dad's '08 SR5 out of the garage and i broke the mirror... stupid irresponsible teenager, i know, I've gotten the lecture.

The glass itself is intact, but the whole plastic part is kind of just dangling there - does anyone have any remedies? my dad just told me to get on line and make sure the dealer has it, "anticipate between 200 and 400 dollars," he says.

Anyone have any advice? anyone have a mirror for sale? :crybaby:

Thanks

MIRROR toyota 4RUNNER RUNNER SUV 2005 2004 2003 2009:eBay Motors (item 250544874234 end time Jan-06-10 19:08:39 PST)

this is not OEM, but it may work. Do a little homework on it first and see if it will fit and please your dad.

That looks a whole lot better than the $240 the dealer is asking for.

I don't think the stock mirror is heated or has memory, at least the guy at parts at the dealer didn't think so... Do you think that's an issue since this one is heated?

Concelli, aka partznet, lists the side mirror assys on their site.
Right side is 175, and left is 142 and change. Not sure why one side is that more than the other, but..........

Conicelli Parts Center

If it works, this link should take you to the site, and page where they are listed.

I wouldnt think it would matter if the one off ebay is heated, it should plug in just the same. But I really dont know honestly.

also, the one off ebay looks to be black, so if your dads truck is not black you might have to factor painting it into your decision.

Well i called those guys at Car Parts Wholesale, and the product number doesn't match the one of the OEM passenger mirror that the dealer gave me.

So I googled the number the dealer gave me and this ebay site came up - any thoughts?

My guess is that they come with cabling for hooking up to the side view mirror control adjuster in the package, and the cable for the right side would require longer length from the driver side. But then again, maybe not, I have never replaced one myself (knock on wood).

Mason Fresh,

• Which side did you break?

Too bad you don't live close... AND ... if you broke the right side, I'd sell you my right side.

I want to get a Color Matching one.

Someone smashed my left one like a year ago & I replaced it w/ the Color Matching Sport/Limited one.

Later on...found out that it was heated!! Toyota pre-wires the SR5 to have heated mirrors, but it's a pity they give us the Black NON-heated mirrors. :crybaby:

The door panels needs to be removed to replace the mirror...I didn't do it myself, but I saw how it was done...very easy.
