Help.. how to cut the front bumper body? (fn fx pro + 275 ko2)

Just installed some 17x8 FN Fx Pro's with 275/70/17 KO2's and I had some rubbing. Just finished the [MENTION=8206]harper7[/MENTION] fender liner mod, moving it forward.

That said, I'm having some minor rubbing still on the body panel... see photo. This is at full lock, forward and reverse. It's minor but definitely needs to be fixed.

I need to cut about 1/2" of the leading edge back (both passenger and driver side).

Anyone have any experience or advice on how to do this?

I had the same issue. I used a Drexel to cut it then smoothed it out.

Did you mean dremel?

It is soft enough I marked and cut mine with a box cutter.

Razor blade in a utility knife. It cuts like butter.

I just marked it with a sharpie and used a saw made for cutting steel pipe. The plastic is super soft so it doesn't take much. I didn't think of the box cutter but I'm sure it would work just as great and wouldn't leave anything to be sanded like I had to do.

I used tin snips and a drywall grater. Shaped it perfectly.

I used the nippers as suggested by Toyota when they trim the pro. TRD Pro Trim instructions

I'd use a Dremel, you may have better control and less effort with it.

Just for the record in case anyone else needs to do this, I ended up using cutting pliers and snipped off about 3/4" in a triangular wedge shape. It was really easy. I plan on getting a foam sanding block to smooth it out.... Probably doesnt need it.

Haha ok. I followed your build pretty closely, love all the dip work youve done.

Good choice on the FNs, they look awesome.

Wheels look flush to fender, feel like theyre about 1" wider on the stance. According to FN its technically .85" or something on trails.

I dont DD this car yet so Ill take pics after work tomorrow. Itll be late.

Tin snips or the like is the easiest way to do it. Whatever you do... Do not use a dremil. Terrible tool for this material.

For what it's worth, I used a high grit to sand mine down to get the same edge look as the original edge before cutting it. I am just OCD like that, so it worked for me. Just some advice if you are the same way.

Its the wheels. I'm not sure of the specifics of his (I assume they're very similar), but my wheels caused rubbing with stock sizing. It all has to do with the moving the outer edge of the wheel a inch or so outboard.

Stock wheels should be ok, but every truck is a little different.
