Help identifying camping accessory

I have searched and looked, but is see some pictures of 4Runners with what appears to be a canvas bag on the rear spare tire, I can only assume it is some type of haul out bag to bring debris out of the woods, policing your trash.

Can someone help me identify and point me to who sells these? Or am I totally off base?

Yeah these things are great. My buddy runs one on his rig and it is very handy. You can pack your trash out without any hassle, mess or smell in your cab. And at $45 they are priced reasonably. Too bad I don't have a rear bumper with tire mount yet :tsk:
 
Friends of mine will pack their firewood in and then their trash out in it. Then the outside pockets are perfect for propane canisters.
Yes, I have rear bumper tire mount envy.
 
I had rear bumper envy until I got my Hitchgate. Now I can run my Trasharoo.

Also can move it between different vehicles.

Thanks this is it, I IM'ed a member and he too replied with the same name. I googled this type of accessory for days, went to REI, Cabelas, Pass Bro (hang out there on a Saturday, you will see what I mean) could not find any mention. Want one for when we cook, haul wood and consumables in, trash out.

I even considered making my own, getting a $5 duffle bag, adding grommets and straps...just a thought

Your 2015 TP is envious of the 77 general, I am sure.

The Trasharoo is great. My ONLY complaint is that while carry firewood it rubbed the paint off of my spare wheel in a couple of spots.

Aside from that, however, I have used it for trash (duh), dirty clothes (a life saver on long trips- I usually just throw them in a garbage bag and put it on top of the garbage when we're moving), recovery gear, and all sorts of other stuff.

Once all of the lugs on my spare "came off" (see also- someone probably tried to steal it and was interupted) and the trasharoo held the tire tight to my bumper until I noticed what was going on.

It's awesome for trash and dirty diapers. It's also got mesh pockets and Molle webbing to keep tools and recovery gear handy. I love mine.

I've consider doing the same thing, Kid. How do your struts handle opening the tailgate with that ion there? And do you ever get stuff spilling out when the gate is up?

They don't like it in the morning when it's cold, but they're old and don't like the tailgate itself in the morning when it's cold :D. I'm sure new struts would solve that problem nicely.

No worries with stuff falling out. It doesn't go inverted, and even if it did the top flap buckles securely to keep stuff from falling out. The biggest PITA is reaching the tailgate latch, but it's doable if you set the Trasharoo at just the right height.

Some question, and I am sure I know the answers, but can the bag take liquids, ie typical campsite liquids, mustard, drinks from cups, I assume it is washable. Looks like it is made out of the same material as my range bags and gun cases. Are there drain gromets in the bottom, like a 5.11 Tactical bag?

I don't really know how liquids do in there, but I know it has two large drain grommets.

I generally use a contractor style garbage bag to line mine. Haven't had any issues with it leaking so far. LOTS of use.

The inside is rubberized with drain holes, you just hose it out if it gets nasty. I use a trash bag in mine too though.
