Help! Lavender Steel Metallic paint match

Hello there. So I have a '97 SR5 in the amazing rare Lavender Steel Metallic color (see build thread, link in signature below).

It spent its life in the Southwest (AZ and NM). Now it's with me in Chicago and I'm getting it ready for the cold hard dark salty winter [gasp]. The clear coat and paint are fading/gone on the hood and roof. Elsewhere the paint is in great shape. No rust on it anywhere yet (hoping to continue that trend).

I've been planning to get the roof and hood repainted professionally this month. I'm using a shop that seems to have a million paint matches and is fairly well reputed. I am not sparing expenses—plan to have this truck for a long, long time.

I'm just afraid they won't be able to nail the match given the unique color. Anyone have insight to share? Anyone had good paint match experiences? Should I just chill out? Thanks in advance...

The color should not be an issue. The fading elsewhere may well be. Both PPG 5207 and DuPont F2060 are supposed to be matches. Both should be good paint.

I had a deer hit on my IJM driver's door, (she hit me, not the other way around) and the match was perfect. I would think a good shop could get this right.
