Help me decide on rear coils for my 98 SR5

Guys I have a 98 4runner SR5 4WD. The rear coils appear to be shot. It seems very sensitive to load and the drive is horrible especially over bumps. I called my local Toyota dealer and they told me there are no open recalls for my vin. I use the vehicle for everyday use, no off-roading. So should I just buy stock 98 rear coils, stock 99 coils or aftermarket?

I put 99 talls on mine and like it. Nice, softer but responsive feel plus about .5" to 1" of lift. You may need to check/replace your shocks as well. I replaced mine and it made a HUGE difference. It's a pretty easy project if you have a sawzall and a couple hours.

Old Man Emu offers so many choices

The old man emu line work great for many of us.

The 906s fit great if you want just a bit of lift in back.

If you have never replaced the rear shocks you likely need those as well.

Honestly, I hate the stock style tokico's. Even the Trekmasters aren't that great compared to Bilstein HD's. If I was you, I would grab some new tall '99 coils and some bilsteins HD's for all 4 corners.
