Ok....so last Friday my Bilstein 5100 rear shock busted, the top thread part sheared right off.
So...I had the shop install my rebuilt Radflo 2.0 rear shocks as a replacement...only to find out the Radflo rear shock BLEW IT'S NITROGEN AGAIN! This is the 2nd time these shocks have been installed by a professional, and the 2nd time the SHOCKS LOSS THEIR NITROGEN CHARGE UPON INSTALL. I watched these guys do the install, everything was torqued by hand per the instructions, and once the car was lowered from the jackstand the hissing of nitro occured and the pin body came losse...and yet again Radflo fails me.
I WILL NEVER TOUCH ANOTHER RADFLO PRODUCT. Pure Garbage. POOR DESIGN. I realize so many people on here mention how great they are - I call bullshit. Overpriced and unreliable, no thanks.
I realize this is a rant - but seriously, the RADFLO suspensions are loud, clunky, and unreliable. I was not impressed with Mike or Glenns customer service either - basically claiming the first time we installed these it was an 'installation error' and charged me $135 in rebuild charges to fix a product not even run for 2 weeks! Then when they shipped me back my shock the top bushings and nut were missing! Now installing the 2nd time the same issue occurs? Radflo is garbage. :toilet:All this for $250 per shock? Really?
So....what shocks do people recommend for the rear that aren't going to break on me in a matter of months? Should I just get another 5100, or use this opportunity to beef up the rear?
