So to start, i don't have a video, and the noise has been going on for approx. 8 months (i know i know)
2004 sr5 v6 4x4, 124k
the noise: a humming with slight vibration in the wheel/accelerator, not related to engine speed
when: very quiet between 1-37 mph, noticeable between 38-40, loud again at 67-70, goes completely silent 75+
the weird: I believe that it is coming from the front end, but cannot discern which side. when i jack up the front end and check for play in each wheel bearing, there is 0, none at all, tight as can be.
also, engaging 4x4 DOES NOT make the noise louder, it has no effect whatsoever, the noise also persists when coasting in neutral
a little background, about 4 months ago [MENTION=55855]zopperman[/MENTION] guessed carrier bearing, due to me not feeling as if it was partial to either side
hopefully you guys can help me out so i can stop worrying and go back to :lookout:
