Help me trick my 2012

Actually my wifes 2012 SR5. She wants it to look TOUGH. She wants everyone the expect a guy to be driving it. COOL, I get to play! This rig with RARELY see dirt. Maybe an easy mountain trail once in a great while. I want to maintain factory ride as much a possible. Plan to put a Shrockworks front bumper on it but no winch and a basket. Gonna use factory wheels but we want to go as big as possible on tires. Want to get the rake out of it for sure. What lift and tires would ya'll suggest? Spacers vs Billstien5100s? Cost is an issue but not at the expense of safety/ride. I would send a pic but it is kind of embarrarssing looking right now. Looks like a GIRL car so says the wife.

Ive been searching. Looking at all the 5th gen pics on this site and elsewhere.
I was really just looking for thoughts on which lift I should go with for the described use and desired look. Thought a few guys here would know just what to do and would like to help me spend some money. Sorry if you unlike.

Can't go wrong with Icon or toytec. Get one of those, do a 3inch lift, get 285s. SW bumper, gobi rack, plastidip your wheels, go get some trail scars, done.

Do something out of the ordinary. Put a 5.7 V8 out of a Tundra in it.

Adio and 4x4, both sound like GREAT ideas but the v8 is not gonna happen.
I have been looking at the Toytec lift 3/1.5. Seems to be the least expensive of the big names by $100. That concerned me but it seems many here use it.
Looks like I can take the rocker panels off and accomplish 2 things. Make it look taller and get rid of that chrome strip. True?

The Toytec kit is a good way to go, very affordable and will give you what you want.

Yes if you take the rockers off the strip will go too but then the unfinished look comes out, at least in my opinion, thats why i trimmed mine.

You say money is an issue but yet you want a Schrockworks bumper for a 4x2 that may someday see a mountian road. I'm pretty sure that money could be better spend on other "tough" looking mods, no?

$$$ is an issue in that I don't need a high end offroad suspension. Just the look and a decent ride.

Been looking at the Adios build up and that is the LOOK we are going for.

What about roof racks? I know what are the best but will a Thule work for light duty and a place to mount lights?

I know it is a total Poser ride but what Momma wants Momma gets!

just level the front and get some better (more aggressive) tires. nothing wrong with a leveled 2wd but I dont see the point of ruggedizing one for off road.

Wow. You don't want to spend much money yet you want the "look."

I don't want to exercise or eat right yet I want "the body."
I don't want to study or learn anything yet I want "the degree."
I don't want to practice a sport for years yet I want "the game."
I don't want to work my a$$ off for years yet I want "the money."

You are unique for two reasons though. Most posers don't admit they are posers and most are willing to spend obscene amounts of money to get "the look."
