Help me with rubbing please..

I installed 275/65/18 and there wasn't "supposed" to be any rubbing.

Hard wheel turns and minor turns in reverse seem to rub on the inside lower wheel wells (the thin plastic) and the upper control arm (I think that is what it is called)

I found a DIY for moving the plastic liner but what about the control arm? I have a daystar 2.5/1.5 lift.

Wheel spacers?? Please help I am having trouble driving without reverse and only taking wide turns...

Everything I read on spacers say that the wheels will rub more after adding them...

They might. Just not your UCA any more. But yeah, you may find some additional trimming necessary. Aftermarket UCA like the Light Racing (Specialty Products Company) UCA's will do the trick. Aftermarket wheels will also accomplish the same thing as spacers. You just need to figure out the proper backspacing.

Ok, so I ordered the 1.25 spidertax and if I understand correctly, this will save my UCA. Which is the biggest concern regarding the rubbing.

With the spacers installed, there will be more rubbing in the wheel wells...I have found good informational DIY on here...

That should be it then right?? Strange thing is right now I only getting rubbing on the driver side (perhaps cuz I am the only one sitting in the vehicle and the shop broke my xreas so the car may be sitting lower)

Anyway suspension getting fixed now and spacers ordered, thanks for the help.

correct, the Spidertrax should take care of the UCA rubbing but you'll probably have to do some trimming to make it not rub on the fender liner. I even had to trim some of the front bumber to make my tires not rub at full turn...You said the shop broke your XREAS? Do you know what happened? I thought when the XREAS system is damaged and fluid has leaked then it's practically garbage after that because it's a closed system. You can't just replace a shock, they have to replace the entire system. There's lots of threads on here that talk about it.

Yeah, they disconnected XREAS when installing daystar...it is completely ruined. They are installing whole new system...still arguing with them over who is paying the cost for the parts...they are covering the labor.

To hell with that! If they broke it, they pay for it!

Might I add a few comments? By installing wheel spacers, you push yourself away from your UCAs but on turns, your pushing yourself closer to the body on the front and back. Going with All-Pro UCAs might be a better idea than wheel spacers because All-Pros UCAs are lower profile and wont affect turning ratio. Also, extended shocks and coils(Suspension lift) would push your body away from the "sweet spot"/widest spot of tire and then you can put wheel spacers all day.

Any hooser, good luck!

What's size spacers do you recommend?

Sorry english prof, I usually type on my phone. I am so sorry if you couldn't figure out what I meant by that.

(I didn't mean "what is." If you read other posts and the grammar confuses you, let me know, I will interpret them for you!!!! (I know that I only should have used one exclamation point))

f you pulled the whole 3rd member, can't you go back and count the teeth on both the R&P for both of them to confirm the ratio? I would think that would be your safest bet. Sucks about the CV, I hope it is just an odd coincidence.

What does "f" mean in this post of yours?? Also, if "f" is a word, it should be capitalized as it is the first word in your sentence.
