Help Need to know if this is actually a 99!!!!!

I was under the impression that all 99 Limited's came with keyless remote, plus auto climate control but this one doesn't. What do you guys think???

Also if you notice the fog lights aren't on the side of the bumber like all the rest.

It's most definately not a 99. Its a 96-98, but exactly which year I'm not sure. You can tell its not a 99+ by the front bumper and center console/radio bezel area.

Do a quick search and you will see exactly what I'm talking about!

The 10th digit of the VIN # indicates the year of the vehicle. "X=1999". t=1996 v-1997 w-1998 x= 1999 y=2000. 1-7 indicates the year in 2000.

I agree with trd_4runnin , The bumber is that of a 96-98, and so is the center console. Now this could be one of 3 things....he didn't like the bumper and center console and replaced it....was in an accident.....or just a typo. Just my 2 cents.

It is a 96-98, believe me coz i know. I have a 98 and i know how they look. its not a 99.
And buyer be aware, sellers on Craigslist are not very credible. Be ware of scams and good luck.

PS: IT IS NOT NOT NOT a 99. Its 96-98. Don't be fooled.

Steering wheel is also the '96-97 version and slider HVAC controls are pre '98 so it's definetly not a '99.

so I talked to the owner again and he says according to the carfax it's a 98 but I still think it's older than that. Anyway thanks for the feedback I really like the options that came in the 99+ so I'm going to hold off until I find a 99

'98s had the 4 spoke steering wheel,that one is definetly older.

Browse over on yotatech too in the classifieds. One guy just sold his '99 Sport w/under 100k on it for $8500.

The owner's a liar. First he lies about the year. Then he says it has an AWD system? And the white is "Natural White", not Alpine. If he's the first owner and detail oriented (like he's trying to sound in the ad), he would know these things.

That looks exactly like my 98 Limited.

My advice, skip on this 98. You can pick up a 99+ for that price all day.

EDIT: Echoing what RonMaiden said, I'm pretty sure my 98 had a 4-spoke steering wheel. My friend's 97 Limited did, too, IIRC. I know the 96's had the 2-spoke.

I've just checked Autotrader and it seems like all of the 98 Limiteds and SR5's came with the 4-spoke steering wheels. The 96-97's all came with the spoke as shown in the original craigslist ad. Very strange.
