Help on 3rd gen lift kit

Huh? I just said, I don't rub, including the pinch weld. I never had to trim anything, hammer the pinch welds, nothing. The only part that ribs when offroad is the mud flap in the back.

Ok you said when stuffed you rub. The OP states his hola is to off-road and have zero rubbing.

The thing the OP needs to understand is that short of a drop bracket lift there is no suspension lift that will make any difference in how much the tires rub unless it limits wheel travel thus decreasing off-road performance.

The options are almost endless on what you could do, and you will find more information than you will ever need on this forum.

Here's a link to my setup (Tundra Bilstein 5100's front and rear, Tundra front springs, OME 890 rear springs):

My total cost was a little over $500.

I never rubbed before my lift with 32" tires. I still have 32s, but am planning on 33s in the future, and figure I should be fine with only minor rubbing, if anything.

I know you originally said you don't want a BL, but to get rid of any rubbing you may have without going through the tubbing and beating, a BL is the way to go. A 1" BL is actually really simple as well. If you were talking about a 2" now you get into things like radiator drop kit, brake line extension and so on. I have 34.5" tires on mine with a 1" BL and a 3.5" suspension lift, and I bashed in the pinch welds and trimed a ton, and I still get rub. There is nothing worse than rub. And if you try to get it to fit 32, 33's without a BL and rely strictly on the suspension lift to do the work to get the clearance, you may be sacraficing ride comfort. I would put a 1" BL and then throw on some of the coils the guys here previously mentioned. this is all just my $.02 though. it comes down to what your comfortable doing, and what you want.

I run 33's and don't rub either. I have no spacers, no pinch weld hammering, or anything else. Just because you run 33's doesn't mean you're going to rub since not are 33's are created equal. Even at full stuff I don't rub. This is such a heated debate on here and everybody on here has different experiences.

Read what you quoted from me. Did I say every 33" will rub on every T4R? No what I did say was rubbing is not affected by putting in a lift coil/strut assembly.

My point is and always was if the tire rubs stock then it will rub lifted. Control arm to bump stop is the same regardless of what you put in the middle as suspension.

More info

Ok this is what I want to know. Exactly What coils what coil type, shock/strut size/type and I don't want any cutting to fit 33s and what I should do with the bump stops. And please keep it cheap

In my opinion no one can tell you this. There are too many variations in wheel and tire combos as well as each individual 4runner. What I can tell you is if it rubs on stock coils it rubs on lift coils. Coils have no effect on tire rub.

ARC is completely right. A suspension lift will NOT stop rubbing if you offroad. If you don't wheel your rig a suspension lift will stop it, if you extend bump stops it will stop it, if you do a body lift it will stop it.

With that said, and as he has said too, there are a shit load of variables to consider but as far as basic suspension geometry a suspension lift won't help rubbing issues if you ever fully stuff your tires. And yes, I know I reiterated what ARC said but the previous posts were confusing where people were arguing with him but his logic is correct.
