Help: Parking brake light on when traction control is turned off

Help: Parking brake light comes on when traction control is turned off

Posting this for a friend.
A friend of mine with a 2WD V8 did the traction control mod. When he turns the traction control off is goes off like it should, however the parking brake light on the cluster turns on. I did this mod to my previous 2003 4runner and someone else's 4runner and never had this problem, nor have I heard of it. Anyone have an idea why it is doing this?

wrong wire?? can't think of anything else.

4wd v8 here. I put a switch in the master cyl plug for mine. When I flip that switch I get a whole bunch of lights, vsc, trac, abs, brake. I think this is normal?

When I did it on my previous 4wd V6 I would get VSC, TRAC, ABS which I know is normal because you are essentially turning off the self braking system computer thingy. But not sure why the parking brake light would come on.

You guys did something to cause either the Brake warning lamp circuit to activate or you created a Brake System specific fault that keeps triggering (why it doesn't set the ABS off I am not sure.)
