Help! Plastidip gone wrong!

I washed the entire truck just before doing this. I sprayed the can upside down before using and after each coat to clean out the tip. I also test sprayed before hitting the emblems.

The area in question is not painted. It's the plain black plastic surround on the TE.

Those white spots are kinda weird. It's tough to tell from the picture...can you tell looking close up if the plastic garnish is actually pitted or the spots just on surface?

Not to state the obvious or what others said, but if the white spots are on the surface you should be able to use goo gone or some sort of cleaner to get rid of them. The plasti-dip is very easy to remove, just have to rub it out...lol!

Someone mentioned that the base plastic for the garnish is a white color. If you are seeing this it could mean that somehow the plasti-dip may have damaged the plastic garnish...but this seems unlikely.

BTW, typically the upside spraying is done when you finish spraying to prevent clogging after use. If you sprayed upside down first, it's possible that some of the accelerant came out before mixing with the plasti-dip and that may explain the white spots.

Are the spots on the surface or are they now voids in the paint?
