Help please!!

The suggestion was given to me by a longtime suspension/alignment mechanic. So take it as you will.

Honestly, if it's free, it's worth it....

Well it is easy to do if it's free. Around here the only places that offer warranties on alignments are the chain stores that overcharge in the first place, and rarely employ knowledgeable techs. Believe me I know, I'm in these places everyday. I sell alignment equipment for a living and have been in the auto repair industry for 34 yrs. When Toyota builds a car, they align it, and they are done, they don't have you bring it back at 500 miles.

My theory is if they didn't get it right the first time, why would they do better 500 miles later?

In that case, why would you take it there in the first place. The shop I took mine to, is one of the most reputable in the area, most mechanics in the area take their vehicles there for tires and aligments, and they give a 30 day warranty (good business practice if you ask me). When they realigned, there was an ever so slight adjustment. No big deal, but good peace of mind. been running great ever since....

Besides, it was only a suggestion. Everyone has the choice to make for themselves...

Well again, I disagree. It's not good business. But I will agree, everyone makes their own choices.

Not good business to give a warranty???? I guess I won't come to your shop, but maybe you don't have one....

No it is not a good business practice to give free alignment warranties, beyond the initial customer satisfaction. Too many factors out of the shop's control for that. 30 days limits it pretty well, but you'll still get too many free loaders blaming their worn out tires on you when they were worn out already.
We don't agree, and that's ok. I'm not concerned.
