Help replacing front rotors on 2010 SR5

First, DON'T PUNISH ME :ybrick:, I did do a lot searching here and could not find a write up on replacement of rotors on the 2010 SR5. I am tired of blowing cash at the dealer and want to do my own work. I know how to replace the brake pads, but I am nervous about taking the calipers off. It looks like there is a soft brake line that leads to a hard line which then enters the caliper. I do NOT want to damage, pinch, or break the hard line and would like to know if anyone here has a write up or can offer me some walkthru guidance.

No need to be nervous.
The brake lines are very durable and aren't easy to harm. That being said most people don't hang on them or anything.

What I've done in the past is used a strap or bent clothes hanger to hang the caliper off the upper control arm. It keeps it close and prevents it from hanging as dead weight on the brake line. Other then that this is a pretty straight forward repair with just a couple bolts removed to get off the caliper after you've removed the wheel. The hardest part is actually compressing the pistons when you are reinstalling the caliper. Usually you can borrow a tool to help with this from your local auto parts place.

I could swear i just saw a good thread on here a few days ago showing how to get the rotor off. Had pics too; it was someone replacing a wheel bearing. Still, not that hard. Just look, undo or unbolt, be gentle with the brake lines.

I am not fortunate enough to have a shop lift to work on, so what I do is just unbolt the caliper and rest it on a stool or box that's tall enough to keep it from stretching out the rubber line. If it's way up in the air on a lift, that's obviously not going to work, lol.
 
Don't remove the axle nuts...

Ignore the part where he takes out the cotter pin, retainer and the axle nut. You don't need to do that part to get the rotor off. He just did that in that order so that he could use the brakes to stop the axle from spinning.After you've removed the wheel start at "then it was time to get the caliper out of the way".
Sorry if that was obvious, just didn't want anyone partially disassembling their hub just to do a brake job.

Thanks guys! I am going to try and tackle this next weekend. Need to get the parts and the breaker bar to pull my lug nuts.
