Help, transmission

Yeah. You don't like me. I stand by what I wrote. Bash away...

also an assumption... i dont know you so dont have any personal feelings towards you. i simply mentioned lubegard is designed more for shudder & probably wont do anything for the OP's stated symptoms of slipping & that he explained he didnt touch anything in his original post. for some reason you felt the need to post a condescending remark assuming i dont know anything about transmissions even though what i posted is true... such a friendly comment.

i stand by what i wrote as well. nothing personal & no bashing, just facts.

I would drop the pan and clean the magnets good. That should give you an idea of how bad things are. Can throw in a new strainer as I believe they are fairly cheap. Likely a thorough cleaning with some fresh fluid should be all you need to keep her going..

Yupp. A 5qt flush and she's doing fine. I've got abottle of fluid they gave me but haven't checked it yet.

Thanks to everyone for the tips and advice.

Amazing how new fluid D/F can solve a shifting problem. 4runners hold 12 quarts of tranny fluid.
