HELP: trying a led swap in cluster and radio

I was going to do led swap in cluster and radio, i ordered a bunch of plcc2 leds for the cluster and some for the radio, after cracking open the radio i saw these style of leds. 30 of them behind the screen and 36 scattered around the board.

My question is will the standard plcc2 leds work in this? or do i need different ones? looking on oznium i found leds called 0805 0805 Surface Mount LEDs

are these more likely the ones i need?

any help is greatly appreciated as my dash is all apart with no lights!! lol.

As far as voltage goes, yes, the plcc-2 and 0805 have the same voltage. The difference between the two are the sizes. The 0805 appear to be smaller.

Hard to tell from the pic if you need larger or smaller leds.

If I were you I would use the plc's and test the solder with the diode tester, on your multimeter. If it works with the multimeter it should work while the car is on.

Those look to be 0805's

An easy way to find out is to measure them. If those LED's are 0805 then the dimensions will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 0.08" by 0.05".

A word of advice, be careful when removing those components from the board as you don't wanna pull any of the pads up.
