HELP will not start...

I have a strange issue, my wife and I went out to dinner the night before and returned home. We parked our 06' 4Runner and called it a night.... The next day we were
going to run some errands and when we went to start the truck, it would click ( not fast ) and would not start... I could see the belts turning as it tried to start but no dice. Battery is good etc. I got a code of P0345 and was wondering if I changed the cam position sensors if this could be solved... I also noticed that since the truck has sat, it seems the battery is dying.....
Unrelated, I inadvertently turned the 4WD dial to Hi4 during this ordeal, this shouldn't cause any other problem for now, or when I do get it started right ???

My wife needs to get to work on Monday... Its an 06' 4Runner Ltd 4WD with 128K... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.....

Have the battery load-tested. Just because the voltage is good does NOT meat that there are enough cranking amps to start the vehicle.

Good luck

How old is the battery? Sounds like it is bad or you have something that is draining the battery like a glove compartment light that is draining the battery. Most likely it is the battery.

If you have a tester, test the voltage on the battery posts, and separately on the battery clamps, while trying to start. If there is corrosion in your battery clamps you may not be able to see it, but you won't be able to get much current flow. You might get 12V on the battery clamps with no load, but put a load on and not much current gets through. Last year I was unable to start, same situation, cleaned my battery clamps and it hasn't returned.

Problem Solved !!!

Thanks for all the generous info guys, It turned out to be just the battery.... I guess I just saw too deep into the issue, but I also spoke with a Toyota technician,( 10 seconds of free info ) and he told me that sometimes when the battery dies, the engine will throw the P0345 code.... Strange...
Anyway, I replaced the battery with an Optima red cap and now we are back on the road !!!!

We love our 4Runner !!!!! Thanks again for the help and info, !!!
