HELP Wiring Guide for ARB Dual Compressor

Would running a "SwitchPro" Or SPod simplify the wiring/install of the compressor?

Thanks!

Are you using it for lockers or just for tires? I am using mine for tires only. Either way, wiring it to an Spod is incredibly easy. I just connected the positive load wires to my battery directly, and then I clipped the ARB harness which is supposed to go to birds nest relays, added spade terminals, and ran the wires directly to my Spod. Here is a link to an Spod sponsored video on wiring the ARB compressor. They advocate there little adapter harness but it is totally unnecessary. Just clip the harness and add spade terminals. I hope this helps.

Man, I just wired up an ARB single compressor with an AOB switch. Was a pain in the butt but I got it all figured out. Since I don't have rear lockers, I didn't use the Iso/switch 1 & 2 wire loom. All I used was the Red and Black wire from ARB. The Yellow and Green are for the switch 1 & 2.

ARB - Red connect to AOB red wire, Black Ground (theres a ground underneath the steering column), Didn't use yellow or green.

AOB - Red connect to ARB red, Blue/yellow connect to Green wiper warmer switch, Black connect to Grey wiper switch, Green ( I connected it to the Blue LED light bar I have)

The AOB switch works as it's suppose to. Light turns on when headlights are on and when pressed, the second light comes on to let you know the switch is activated.

They way I have the AOB switch wired up, you can turn on the ARB compressor with the engine off. But I wouldn't run the compressor without the engine running thou.

I didn't bother with the ARB switch because it doesn't fit in the OEM switch hole.

When you say “green, I connected it to the LED light bar I have”, can you be more specific?

Cheers, James

Ok, got everything working but the compressor light stays on no matter if the switch is depressed or not. I hooked up the green wire to +12vdc.

Anyone got any thoughts? I followed the instructions above for the AOB switch.

Ill be beginning my 5th gen build this weekend. I bought the switchpro 9100 and a dual air compressor. I haven't found any help in regards to wiring the 2 together. So hopefully i can shed some light on the situation.

I installed mine this weekend and thought I may have misunderstood the "series illumination" of the AOB switch and that compressor light should always be on. But now I guess not? Did you figure that part out?

Ok I actually figured it out... responding to myself here if anyone comes up with the same issue...

I had the wires messed up, I had Red (arb) to red (aob) and red/yellow (arb) to green (aob) which is incorrect. It needs to be red (arb) to green (aob) and red/yellow (arb) to red (aob)

I realize this is an old thread but I’m having issues getting my compressor to turn on. I have everything wired up but the two wires for illumination for the switch and ignition. Is the wire for ignition required to run the compressor? I don’t need to have the switch in the cabin so I’m leaving it next to the compressor in the engine compartment.

Disregard this. I figured it out.

Ok, jumping on an old thread to see if I can get some help as well.

I have an ARB dual compressor installed with the arb locker manifold and pump up kit in the front passenger side of the engine bay.

I have a Viair tank installed in the spare tire location from a previous compressor installation. I would like to connect to the dual ARB compressor to this tank.

All of the diagrams I have seen show the compressor connected to a tank and then the tank to the locker manifold. Do I have to do it this way? Can I connect from the current pump up valve location directly to the tank? I’d like to not mess with the locker manifold connections if possible.

Also, do I need to connect some type of pressure sensor or switch to the tank as well?

Lastly, the compressor is in the front and the tank is in the back. Other than running long lines, are there any other negatives to the distance between the two?

Thanks in advance for any advice, thoughts, criticism or any other type of comments!
