Help with navigation/GPS, pleez!

Recently picked up my 2014 TE from an out-of-state transporter. On our way home the navigation screen was locked to the same general area that the car came from, which was in a different state and different map location.
I tried setting the correct map location, setting home address, but nothing seemed to matter, still stayed on the dealers general location.
Went through the manual, and found a Nav & tire reset screen, however that didn't seem to do the trick either. The GPS icon in the upper left has a red hash mark thru it, indicating that I don't have GPS signal. I'm thinking I have a DOA GPS. :faint:

Any advice is most welcome!
Dazed and

You are correct sir, I think you might need to take it in to get looked at? If the GPS can't get a lock, the location is never going to change much (at best it would guestimate your position using the wheel speed input and what not).

One thing I would try though is disconnecting the battery for a bit and seeing if that resets the whole system? Good luck!

I tried disconnecting the battery, but nada. I had the remote start added at the dealer...hope their monkeying around in the dash isn't the source of the problem. :moping:

Well, no amount of "reset" would have fixed the problem.

Seems that the technician who installed the remote start forgot to re-plug the GPS unit, not only that he stuffed the cable behind the other cables so that you couldn't even see an unattached plug. :uzi:

Thanks for responding Eddie.
