Hey Everybody!! Posted in intro forum and was kindly directed here with my 5th gen brethren and...sisteren? Been lurkin' a little here! I know the search function is my friend and believe me, for the past few weeks I've been burning it up, I'll feel like I'm getting somewhere reading a post but sometimes my mutual question may go unanswered or with conflicting answers...so I'm going to be another annoying noobie and I'm reaching out now!! I just purchased a new 2013 Limited Edition 4Runner 4X4 with Xreas Suspension (Mag Grey). I really want to lift it without compromising this system. I realize the only lift kit Toytec offers for my needs is the 2.5" front spacer, Front diff. drop kit, and the rear 1.5" coil spacers. The issue I'm having is that I wouldn't trust myself to try to put a lift on a skateboard, much less my brand new vehicle, and I can't find a off road shop in Houston that will touch it. Everyone I have talked to just says "Oh yeah man we just strip all the gas suspension stuff off before we put any lifts on, it never works with a lift." The Toytec site says in print the setup I referenced will though. Does anyone here know anyone in the Houston area that can help me out? My second question is if I buy some light racing upper control arms is the front diff. drop kit necessary? Any leads or advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I will not be doing any serious off-roading besides getting to my deer stand or surf fish cruising on sand, or towing anything heavier than an atv, put I do want the ground clearance and space to get rid of the skinny 20's for some ATX Force 20's (Teflon Gray) and some 275/60/20's!!! If y'all want to see the first "Smoked Out Limited" pics you'll help a noobie out with step one!!! Thank you, and this site and all you guys and girls are awesome!!!

I am probably not the most qualified to answer this but from what I gather: 1) the only option you have are spacers if you plan to keep XREAS; 2) the LR UCAs have nothing to do with the diff drop, so you can install one without the other; 3) I don't think you need a diff drop unless you're raising more than 3".

Good luck!!!!!!!!! (and chill with the ! usage, you might have a heart attack) :)

Here ya go..... Help a fellow Texan out!

Most of the shops around here are scared of XREAS too because, if you don't disconnect the lines at the right place and fluid leaks out ,then they are trash and very very expensive to replace. They don't want the liability.
The daystars are easier because the spacers go on top with stud extenders. That way you(they) don't ever have to completely disconnect the shock at all to get them on .Just leave the hydraulic lines connected ,drop the CO down, place bolt extenders and spacers on top and then jack the CO back up and put the nuts on the 3 bolts. You will lose some travel on the stock shocks to I wouldn't be jumping them off dunes or anything.lol

Forget the diff drop for 3" or under, not needed. LR UCA's however ,will get you a much better alignment. IMO the caster set to 4.0 rides much more stable, holds a line on the highway and just easier to drive.Lucky to get 2.0 caster with a lift and stock UCA's and the steering will be light.

Thank ya'll so much for the info, I found a very very solid installer through American Wheel and Tire in Houston that has no qualms about working with the XREAS system. It is a brand new and extremely professional facility. They said they preferred/were familiar with Toytec products so my spacer lift, ATX Ledge Teflon 20" wheels, and Toyo AT 2 285/55's are on the way. I'm waiting until Monday to contact Toytec about the LR UCA's because on the Toytec website it only denotes that the product is for '03-'10 4runners, I just want to verify it's ok to put them on a '13. I also decided to get the rear differential drop for my 4x4 because it wasn't too much extra and if it creates less stress for my new investment that I'm planning on driving for a few hundred thousand miles and passing on to my kids, why not. Anyone else run this setup that can provide a little feedback on the MPG loss I'm going to be looking at?
