Herculiner for storage - horrible offgassing

I used Herculiner for the custom storage I built. I completed rolling it on ten days ago. I installed it on Sunday and the smell is horrible so I took it out.
Does anyone know how long the offgassing will take?

You mean in the 4Runner or just anywhere?

If in the 4R you can try and odor bomb thing sold in car stores. Hopefully you have a garage and can leave the windows down and make sure it didn't get anywhere inside the 4R causing to keep smelling.

As for the smell coming off whatever you rolled it on no idea. I don't think its really meant to be put on something going in an enclosed space.

I took it out and its sitting on my patio. So it's not a threat to the 4R.

At some point it will have offgassed completely, I'm just wondering when that is.
A lot of the jeep and fj/bronco/scout guys will use bedliner in their pan and others have used it on storage they've made, so I know it's okay at some point.

I just want to know if I should plan on leaving it on my patio for the next 3 months and reinstalling all the shit I ripped out!

I don't think it will take 3 months but maybe a couple weeks. Just like that new car smell.

So I should just fart on it repeatedly? That seems to get rid of a new car smell pretty quick.

You try cleaning it with some simple soap and water?

I say treat it like you would as if it was bedliner maybe it would help a little.

I herculined the interior of my offroad rig years ago..took months for the smell to dissipate and even after it completely cures it still has an odor to it.

Terrific. It took me almost a year of working on this in my spare time and between health issues. This was a poor decision. Is the smell that bad with all bedliners?
