Hey guys! Noob questions Inside

Hey guys I just picked up a 95 4runner and have some questions for you guys. I attached a photo of my new toy haha.

1. I plan on lifting it but I have some worries about the tires rubbing. What would be a good way to lift it and be able to run 33 inch tires on 16s? Maybe this kit?: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/2-Lift-Kit-wrear-coils-for-90-95-4Runner_p_180.html

2. What are your guys' favorite mods?

That is a perfect lift for 33s. :thumb: Favorite mod is pretty opinionated from person to person. I think one of my favorite mods is my locker.

First and best mod - get rid of the running boards! Easy to do, and looks less like a soccer mom vehicle.

We had a 95 and used All Pro Offroad rear lift sprigs and replacement torsion bars....ran 285 Interco SSR's 33.9 dia.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm brand new to 4wd vehicles, I've always owned Mustangs and Bimmers haha. So along with that lift kit I read that new shocks is recommended. What shocks would you run with that setup?

What stangs did you have? I'm also into mustangs. I have an early 65 all numbers matching. Owned it since I was 15 and have built it from the ground up.

I've owned 48 Mustangs haha. I normally buy them, fix them, sell them. Just to make some income on the side. Currently I own a 2001 Cobra, 2000 V6 and a 1995 V6. My first car was a 68 coupe though!

Your cobra supercharged? I have a friend who had a 03 termi with a blowzilla on it and it sounded mean. Sorry for the thread hijack, I just love mustangs. :hungry:

Dude just put some info together. I added someone on fb from superior stangs with a 4runner and 65 Mustang on fb and unless there's another cory with the same cars I'm guessing its you haha.

Naw unfortunately its not supercharged haha, its still a work in progress, needs a tune and a paint job.

Probably is then! haha Tried getting my buddy to join SS with the 03 back when he had it but he wasn't into clubs, and didn't have the car very long.

Yeah it got shut down for good I think. Everyone is just using the FB page now. I haven't been active in SS for a couple years now. It was fun when it was just the guys from the Portland to Seattle area, but the stupid BS and politics ruined it for me. Me being a classic, there wasn't much going on in that section anyways. Although I still have a SS sticker on my back window. I still hang out with some of the local SS guys every now and then. Now the only vehicle club I am associated with is Bri and Bub off road.

Old man emu or bilsteins are awesome shocks, or you could get some pro comps for cheap. They work good as well, I think they go for around $40ea at 4 wheel parts. If you measure your shock length (top mount to bottom mount) at static height, talk to the guys at 4 wheel parts and they will get you the right shock.
