Hi Everyone - Just got a New T4R!

I had been looking at a few vehicles over the last few months: Acura TL, BMW 330, Infiniti G35 and some others. I like the German cars, but the reliability isn't that great. The Japanese cars are very reliable, but kind of boring. So, I started looking at SUVs and narrowed it down to the 4Runner or the Pathfinder. After test driving the 4Runner, it was no contest! I bought a SR5 4WD V8, titanium silver with stone interior. I'm loving every minute of it so far. I've been reading a lot of posts on this site and I learned quite a bit about the 4R before I bought it.

I'll post some pictures of my new ride after I detail it for the first time. Of course, you guys pointed me to Griot's so I bought some supplies and picked up an orbital buffer from Amazon.com (about $75 cheaper than Griot's). I'm going to detail my '97 Accord first to practice before doing the 4R.

Thanks for all the great tips and advice. I'm glad I picked the 4R!

Its funny, I too was thinking car and I also looked at the TL and the G35. I decided that I wanted the space so went with the T4R, cheaper too. I really didn't consider any other SUV after browsing a couple of lots. I am curious about the 2005 Pathfinder though. Its supposed to be a baby Armada which I think is a sharp truck, just too big.

Congrats...for me, i compared SUVs (no cars) before getting my '02 4runner. When i went to the M3 (still had 4runner), it was fun, but it wears off fast. The 4runner is just so solid and well-built. I am hoping that my G500 will be as well-built as the 4runner.

Would you post a pic of your grill in THIS thread? I am trying to keep a summary of all the options we have as grill replacements. Thanks.
