Hi guys. I have lurked around several forums for a while reading as much as I can about Pathfinders, newer Rodeos/Passports and Monteros, before deciding that a 4Runner is the best choice. I need to replace my aging 1994 Isuzu Rodeo, V6 5speed 4wd.

I go to college next summer, so I want to make sure I have a good, reliable vehicle during that time. My Rodeo is starting to need more attention than I have time or money for between school and working as well as trying to enjoy the "best 4 years of your life".

Through reading (lots of time spent on here already!) it seems that a 99-02 with Multi-Mode 4x4 will be best for what I will be doing, as well as the 3.4L and its Automatic seeming to be an unstoppable combination, reliable as heck too, from reading through some of the builds and such. My family has had good luck with Toyota's, and even though my dad works at Honda, we both know the 4Runner will be a wise investment for years to come.

Anyway, I am searching full time at dealers and private parties in my area. I would like to get a Limited (I like creature comforts!) but the sport edition hood scoop and silver interior trim is good looking as well!

Probably won't hear much out of me until I get close to purchase and asking all the questions begin.

Thanks for your time, I hope I covered everything in my welcome. (sorry for the book I wrote also)

Thanks for the welcome all. I would like to have one by October, but no later than December (before the snow comes!).

Anyway, can't wait to really be able to contribute once I have one of these fine vehicles. For now, I guess I'm just a sponge :hello:
