Hey guys so I'm looking to do a hid conversion to my front headlights but looking on cheap side just wondering anyone had any luck thanks

I got some on amazon that worked nicely for a while, then I went projector but they had a lot more light than stock halogens and can actually be tuned to have a decent cutoff. infact if you just want them for offroad its easy to swap between them and halogens and then you can take the shields off and have a massive ammount of light.

I think you may want to look into a retrofit, don't let anyone fool you, It can be dont cheaply... Check out the link bellow it is the retrofit sources spring blowout and a cheap pair of projectors can be had from that and then you could just get an ebay or DDM HID kit and use those. You could potentially do it for under $100 if you get creative with the wiring and make your own harness.

Do a retro or just keep the stock halogens. Those cheap kits (double meaning there!) Are nothing compared to a proper retro. Our housings are not made for HIDs and the scattered light all over the place will prove that to you if you do a PNP kit. Let me know if you have other questions. Go with a set of projectors from TRS, Phillips 85122 bulbs, denso or matsushita ballasts, and a wire harness and you will be set!

Almost forgot, to get the most light on the road, go with 4300k bulbs. Those blue 6000k bulbs actually give out less light.

If money is no issue then yes do a retro, if your on the cheap side and want something better than stock halogen you can get away with pnp hid kit, I got mines from ddm and honestly it's not bad at all,

Yes a good set of hid do a fair job but a retrofit kit do a way better job.....
The difference between halogen and hid is the same than hid and retrofit
I bought mine on ebay for 150$ and love those the best money spent on light.

Stick with halogen if you can't afford a retrofit at the moment. No sense in throwing money into junk. One does not simply install HID bulbs into a housing made for halogen bulbs. It will look ricer.
