HID kit help (DDM)

I have a 35w 6000K kit and in my original 97' housings they dispersed the light evenly but my housings had mud and condensation inside so I opted for the nice blacked out crystal type but they are horrible for HID's. They throw the light in a scattered pattern. Next I'm going to do the projector retrofit and throw this kit in a set of 8" off road lights.

Dammit. I got the ANZO crystal black housing to install my HID kit into. I wonder if there is a way to improve the light pattern

Yeah I liked those housings at first too until I saw the light output. I think the best way to fix that is to add some projectors. Or sell them and buy the clear ones. One of the members here painted his housing a flat black and added the projectors and his light output looked fantastic! I wish I could get me some of those lol!

The clear ones aren't much better.

I'm just debating if putting HIDs in them will make the glare terrible. I know the light pattern isn't very good, but I don't think they have a lot of glare.

I've got the DDM 35W 4500K Bi-Xenon kit.

that doesn't look yellow at all, thanks for posting these pictures, Now is this the DDM hi/lo kit? Cause it soundled like there is a difference between bi-xenon and just hi/lo??

What year is that ptam?

TRD-I think it's the fact that it is a factory housing.

It's their Hi/Lo Kit. It's an 01 with the factory housings.

im looking at getting HIDs soon, mine say HB4 9003. wanting 55w 8,000k. most done make that one. any words on others? what are all the options for the 99s? :bash:

Any reason you want 55 watts?

umm guess not. was told 55w would work and figured if they are brighter i want them.

They'll work for sure. I know they get hotter and might cause more glare. It's up to you though.

They also tend to wash out the color. So most people order one or two temperatures up the scale so that they get what they want.

Well i got my ANZO crystal black housings. Took them out of the box to look at quality and inspect for damage. Broken clips rattling around in the box...
Sent back to amazon this morning and headed over to a salvage yard.
$165 later, I have an OEM headlight.
And DDM says my kit will be here today!

Very nice. I wish I had a salvage yard closer to me.

I was kinda sad about the ANZO lights. THey look cool, but no where near OEM quality.

H4 is the same as 9003.

Yep. Too many different names for the same thing. It gets confusing.
