Bright!

Finally got around to taking some pics of my HID's (DDM Tuning Bi-xenon 35w 6000k)

Those suckers are bright! They look good. Has anyone complained about how bright they are? I can just see someone getting ticked as you drive the opposite direction. Even the low beams are incredible!

I've never had anyone complain about them. I've had a few people, only a handful, flash their brights at me thinking my brights were on but nothing to worry about. Driving without HID's isn't the same. It's to completely different worlds. I've had them on the past 3 vehicles I've owned and never been ticketed for them ever and been pulled over at nice multiple times lol

so i finally got my lights from ddm last week and was a little unimpressed. first off, no directions or anything.... wth? but we figured it out after about 30 minutes. and the other thing is, ill turn my brights on, and after theyre on for 5-10 minutes they just cut off. then i can flip em back on like 5 minutes later. anyone else have that problem???

I agree that it was a paint that there were no instructions or anything. I'd done it before thankfully so knew what I was doing. My wires are a little short and have some of them running over my radiator fan which I wasn't too happy about but it's all good now. Can't say I've ever had "your brights problem" but then again never have driven with brights on for 10 minutes! You driving a lot of country roads or something? lol

yea the wires are a little short, i have my wires in the same place. yea i drive alot of back roads. coming back from my buddies today they werent even on for 3 minutes and they cut off.... calling or emailing ddm soon....

I run the VVME kit in mine and i haven't had one problem. wire lenth was more than needed as well. i thought the two kits were the same but perhaps not. i went with the 35w slim digital bi-xenon kit.

I went with vvme , b/c we have the dual filament bulb the high/low beam is in one bulb. most of the high/low kits have a hid low beam and halogen high beam, or just a low beam. the vvme is hid in the high and low beam. have had no problems with mine, i have 35w 6000k . 55w makes them whiter than 35 so i would do 55w 6000k or 4500k as mine are a noticably blue. the vvme also has a casper shield which reduces glare , i think most h4 kits do but i know vvme does for sure. i have ordered from ddmtuning.com 3 times with no issues but didnt want halogen high beam on the 4runner. http://www.vvme.com/12v-5055w-h439003-bixenon-hid-kit-p-31.html?cPath=44_46_35

that is vvme 55w h4-3 bi-xenon hid kit ..... i am not so sure whether that 55w hid can work well in stock 35w projector housings....i heard that 55w hid are brighter than 35w hids but generate more heat ... there might be issue of melting bulbs.....

the h4-3 bi-xenon hid dont work steadily as single beam.....:lmao:
