HID Questions

So if I'm considering replacing my stock halogens with some HIDS, what are some recommendations that people could make based off experience... (Brand, Price Range, Etc)

My major question is... do you need to purchase 2 different kits (9005 & 9006) for high beams and low beams?

Also, any other advice on HIDS would be much appreciated.

You don't want to put HIDs in your high beams. They won't have time to fully warm up.

I'd stick with either 4,300, 5,000, or 6,000.

It really comes down to how much you want to spend. You can get a kit for as cheap as ~$30 from DDM or go all the way up to $200+. I have two DDM kits and they work really well.

You might want to consider getting HID projectors if you want some awesome light output.

If you have 2006+, its h11 for low beams and 9006 for fogs. I'm not sure about earlier models. DDMtuning is ~50. I'd go betwen 4300k and 5000k at the highest for low. and match with fogs or go 3000k for jdm style.
 
Well unlike others that just get the lights or looks, there is a science to it. Form the varying color optins to wattage output as well as wiring harnesses and relays. Fortunately for us we dont need n e extra things. Just a basic Set of lights n ballast. What is known as a kit.
Now with that being said i will make my opinions on color options.. 43k is by far brightest n most effective producing light. My favorite at that. Well i recommend u get 43k for your lights. If u want to see the road then this color option is for u if u just want to mess around with the lights then the others r it.....Well GL.
 
4300K, not 43k. 43k is 43000.
K = kelvin, k = 1000, confusing to someone who is trying to educate themself. HEY OP, JUST GO DO A SEARCH PLEASE AND THANK YOU

I know the feeling dude.. No problem i will put my 2 cents in anytime..
 
I installed the DDM fogs in my 05 back at the end of 2011 and I love em. Shipping took forever, but I'm happy with them.
It was plug n play with them. Fogs need to be 35W (NOT 55W) and I went with the 5000K, but if you need more functionality for snow/fog, then go lower, say 3000K - 3500K. They were pretty inexpensive compared to other brands and the hardest part is figuring out where you want to mount the ballast in the engine bay.

Make sure you have the proper housing for the 9005/9006, if it isn't a projector already, you can blind other drivers. There was a big thread on that not too long ago.
