How often do you guys with the HID upgrade get flashed, even after adjusting the beam? I want brighter headlights, but I'm afraid the HIDs will be too bright.

You should be fine as long as they're aimed well. Granted, I just installed mine 2 days ago but no one complaining yet. Huge difference by the way! I say go for it.

Before putting mine in, I did the tape marks on the wall as th where my originals lined up. Replaced the bulbs and never moved the truck. No change in position on mine. Have not been flashed as of yet, so I think I am good.
I think mine might have been aimed too high from the factory. I recall even with the stock lights pulling into my street and lighting up the trees that overhang the street. Those tree limbs have to be 15-20' in the air. Never did that before with previous cars. After HID upgrade I was lighting up the back of people's heads in small cars and in their rear view mirrors. Even got a middle finger directed my way at a stop light once. Re-aimed them the next day and haven't had a problem since. Although I think I went overboard. Want to ooch them back up a notch to get more forward light.

Got flashed once - literally after I have put in the HIDs, but then made the adjustments and have never been flashed since. Maybe folks here in Wisconsin are just too nice?

Getting ready to install my kit this weekend, what size hole saw do I need to make the hole for the bulb and harness? Also any downsides to hiding the ballasts under the plastic trim along the fenders? Goal is to have everything look as oem as possible.

I ordered your h11 4300 kit with the phillips bulbs. From my understanding, the dust cover would need a hole drilled?

Hey Steve, I ordered a set of H11 HID's a couple of days ago and still haven't got a confirmation email. I logged in on the website and still says it's processing. I figured it'd be sent out by now. Just wanting to know the status of it. Thanks.

HID lows + LED fogs = I can see.
I was very disappointed with some random Amazon LED lows in my 17 Limited. There was a lot of dark spots and being 6000K, they were almost as bad as the factory halogens. They worked great on my 2012 Forester non-projector though. I went with the 4300 XD HID kit and wow what a difference. It's not as crazy blue and its what these 4runners should have came with from factory. I went for a test and it seems to be a bit too bright for the factory headlight adjustment, so I readjusted it lower. I moved the H11 LEDs down to my fogs (which fit perfect) and it also made a huge difference.
I had one issue when mounting the XD ballast though, it fell off. It looks like the paint didn't adhere properly to the metal. I just used new double sided and its fine. Otherwise great kit!
