Did you also know there is a smaller compartment inside the glovebox? If you open it, there is another up higher. It was about a year before I even realized it was there.

Great place for a DVD player!

....the other neat feature of the windows and moonroof is that after you turn off the vehicle and remove the key, the windows and moonroof will still operate for 43 seconds (or until the front doors are opened, whichever comes first)....
For some reason I assumed only our Limiteds had this feature. Does everybody with SR5s & Sports have it too?

....All the little things, not to mention big things, that toyota put into this vehicle continue to "sell" me every day. I love my 4r!

Now if I could just raise the back window from remote...
:iagree: completely.

Yes, but I think my windows only stay active for 30 seconds after the key is removed. I have to go down and check

Its stock on all 4runners. My 93 celica had the same feature so Toyota has included it for many years now.

YES YES. I ordered the 03 Visors from limited model and noticed that i don't have the sliders from sr5. Then we test drove the lexus and salesman showed us that visors slide. So, i tried and it worked. Limited model has slide out visers. Cool hidden accesory.

Just read through this thread (great info, BTW!) and noticed that it hasn't had a reply since 2005. Speak up all you 2006 and 2007 owners - any new hidden features you've found in the last couple years? Any other 4th gen hidden gems that people (anyone) want to share?

Found the "hidden" glove compartment today after having my 4Runner for 1 1/2 years. Thanks for the thread. Never would have found it. It's a great place to hide keys, wallet, etc.

Thanks-gflurry

Thanks Koz I have been wondering where those little frickin' things come out of never thought the whole thing slid out.... go figure.........

How many of you know that the passenger side seat folds flat if you remove the headrest and scoot the seat up a bit-then back? It makes for a nice (but not totally flat) bed using the base of the back seat.

I showed my wife when she was driving (yes I let her drive once) and she said "nice...now go to sleep so you'll stop telling me how to drive".

Love is grand.

Actually both seats do that, not just the passenger side.

ok I know. Just discovered that the cup holders change in size to accommodate the big gulp or the cup of coffee. Who knew?

Can I get a picture of this? Any way to fold the entire seats down and get one huge 8"x4" bed?

reviving old thread

Being relatively new to the forum, I read through the whole thread a few months ago, and don't recall seeing this one (I just discovered):

With most cars I've been frustrated to not have a convenient place to secure a tollway ticket and the bit of cash to pay it. Our old Volvo had a little plastic clip on the A-pillar, against the windshield. It's a stupid little detail, but it really was handy.

I flipped my headlights on the other night (on the 4runner) and the reflection off the wall in front of me illuminated the little plastic pocket on the bottom of the driver's visor. How nifty is that! :bluejump:
