HIDS in a 2014?

Anybody install HIDS in 14 yet? Of so can you post pics of the installation of the ballast and wiring. I was just looking at mine the other day and noticed the bulb is enclosed behind a plastic cover and just cant figure out how I would run the ballast out of there. I'm assuming that cover is to stop water from going in the projector housing...

I haven't seen it, but I've had experience with similar headlights. Is it a dust cap that screws on? If so, you can just go ahead a drill a 1" hole in the cap. Post pics of the back of the assembly if you can.

I tried sylvania zxe last week, but returned them the next day, because they didn't work as good as I expected. Now I'm thinking about those retrofit HIDS.

I don't think you can fit the whole ballast into that slot, may have to drill a bit in the center just for the wiring. Not 100% sure, but I asked him in that thread.

Yes it does look like a dust cap and it does just screw on. I'll take some pics soon...

That's what you do, you drill out the center of the dust cap for the wiring. There should be a round rubber piece on the wires of the bulb which should cover the hole.
