Hmm. Not sure to which pic you're referring. Do you mean the way it's mounted or the way it's projecting? Everything is aligned correctly at the moment. It might just be the angle of the picture or a camera effect.

The third picture(on ur build thread), I think its in maybe a garage. It might be just the pic but the driver's side cutoff line appeared to a few degrees off. Sloping down towards passenger light.

Ahhh. Gotcha. Yeah, that's a trick of the camera. The garage wall juts out a bit, but the cutoff is actually straight in real life. Doesn't slope down at all.

You need to update your signature, though. It currently says LS460.

The headlamps should be shipping back to me soon. I can't wait to get these on the truck!

LightWerkz was, of course, amazing to deal with. Answered all my questions promptly and turn around time was fast!

I'll have more pics and review on the projectors once I get them back and mounted.

Which Osram bulbs did you purchase? The 66240 SVS or the 66240 CBI? It sounds like you purchased the CBI if they're the 5000K rating.

If he's still deciding, perhaps he should go with the SVS bulbs over the CBI, as the SVS bulbs produce about 10% more lumens than the CBI bulbs.

The SVS bulbs as compared to the CBI bulbs produce about 360 more lumens according to their tech specs (4160 vs 3800 lumens, respectively).

It could very well just be projector design, but I have a friend who has the Philips 85122+ bulbs in his ride, and my bulbs are noticeably brighter.

I have yet to compare the CBI and SVS bulbs side-by-side though. However, the CBI and SVS bulbs cost the same...both are $185 from TRS.

i love my retro on my 4th gen i did, rx afs projectors with tsx clear lens, osram 66240 cbi and morimoto 5five ballast. u gota use 5five ballast on the osram and philips bulbs, they can take the extra power.

Yeah, they can take the extra power, but after seeing how bright they are with 3Five ballasts, I'd prefer not to shorten their lifespan with 5Five ballasts considering how expensive these particular bulbs are.

I have the 5Five Morimoto 5000K bulbs with the Morimoto 55w ballasts in my truck now. I think they are too....blue? or too white?... I just don't like 'em :uzi:

I had Phillips 85122 on a previous car/retrofit and loved em'.

I already have Phillips waiting, I don't see myself getting the Osrams unless the Phillips disappoint; but I doubt they will. I can't really justify that hefty price for 10-30% more output.

I don't think I can notice 10-30% better output screaming down the highyway at 60mph :zoom:

Got my headlamps from Lightwerkz back tonight. Debated for a few seconds if I had the time to get the bumper off, lamps in and back together before dark....Of course I do....

Here are some preliminary pics. It is too light out still to get any output shots, but maybe this weekend.

These projectors are HUGE!! I really love how massive they are, I think it fits the 4Runners attitude well.

Really impressed with Lightwerkz quality and timeliness of work and customer service. I highly recommend them!

Here are some output shots from tonight. These projectors really are ridiculously W I D E !! The TSX-R lenses really add color to the cut-off too.

I couldn't capture the whole thing with my cheapo camera. There really is a straight and equally intense light output from 45 to 135 degrees. I did find a ball field with a shack behind it. I figure I can park in front of it a ways, then jump on top of this shack to get a good pic. Excited for the weekend already haha.

This was my first most vivid impression too .... the light spread, and how well the sides and shoulders of the highway is lit. Particularly on dark 2 lane roads.

Sorry now I let Caesar talk me out of the 430/460. He hadn't seen a 5G headlight before, and didn't think they'd fit. I should have waited for him to take them apart. Well, the FX-Rs are not slouches, but I'm jealous.

To their credit, they were hesitant with me at first too.

They had to receive my headlamps and wait for the LS430s to even see if it was possible.

They are rather big, but we have some decent sized housings.

I had made up my mind though, if it was possible, I wanted them to try.

I was excited by the reviews of the LS430s and the fact that a 5thGen hadn't been done yet.

Good for me, good for the T4R community and maybe even Lightwerkz business!

use the osram bulbs 5000k cool blue intense, and the 5five ballast and that setup is pure sex, oem bulbs are brighter, i have tried all the morimoto bulbs, 5000k and 6000k d2s did not come close to the oem osram bulbs. lacked alot of intensity and hotspot.
