Was reading a thread here the other day that mentioned a yotatech thread by FogRunner regarding swapping a GM or aftermarket high-amp alternator into our T4Rs, so I looked into it.
I contacted eBay seller Powermax regarding their listing for a HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR Fits TOYOTA 4RUNNER TACOMA TUNDRA 3.4L V6 1999-04 170A and asked about fitment, belt and electrical connections.
Their answers were:
For guys winching, FogRunner suggests installing a High Idle switch that tells the alt to output max power without having to rev the engine up. Something to think about when upgrading components; getting the most out of them the right way.

-upgrade the main charge wire to 4-guage, fused
(NO RESPONSE ABOUT BRACKETS OR FITMENT)
